One of the most wonderful days of the year is coming: the first Sunday in the NFL. And on this first NFL Sunday, the Ohio battle that pits neighbor against neighbor, spouse against spouse, friend against friend will once again be played out.
So when the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns face off, the fan reaction may not be so dramatic, but the 53-year-old rivalry is about to reach an important milestone. When the game's starting whistle sounds, it will be the 100th meeting between the two teams; through 99 games, the Browns have won 47 and the Browns have won 52, including the most recent meeting in December.
The Browns will have a lot to deal with, as QB Joe Burrow will throw spiraling balls to outstanding wide receivers Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins. But Cleveland has a secret weapon: defensive end Myles Garrett, who has tormented the Bengals' offense in the five games they have played. 8 sacks, 2 fumbles, 6 tackles for loss, and 14 QB hits. So, the Bengals will have a lot to deal with. It could be such a dramatic game.
